5 minutes with……Emma Stinson of Simply E Designs
Morning! Kellie here. I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter break. Most of us are well and truly back to mundanity but, on the bright side, there’s only a few more days until the schools reopen and the shackles of unassisted parenthood loosen…slightly.
I was in Dublin on Good Friday, making the most of some down time. I’ve always romanticised big cities. I’m not quite sure why I do that – I just do. Whilst I was busy romanticising Dublin on a bright and sunny Friday afternoon, I fell into people watching. I could waste hours watching people toing and froing. I imagine their days, their lives, their homes, what they eat for breakfast and where they hang out in the evenings. Do they have friends, family? Are they happy?
I then fell into thinking about whether anyone had ever ‘people watched’ me? If so, what did they see? Did they get it right or did they imagine a life for me entirely different to the one I have?
As I was thinking, I noticed a pattern. When I people watch, the lives I imagine are never sad or lonely, nor are they extravagant or luxurious. They are humble, run-of-the-mill everyman lives, happy and full. Maybe there’s something in that… or maybe I just think too much.

So, before I sign off for another week, I’ve got some more good news. Just last week my little sister had a new arrival. Her first, a gorgeous boy, named Remy. He’s earned the coveted top spot as my phone wallpaper now because I can’t get enough of his widdle face.
