Ballynahone Crescent makes headlines for second time in as many weeks
And for all the wrong reasons...
For the second time in a fortnight we have once again been visited in office by a resident of Ballynahone Crescent… yet again with more bad news.
The resident who entered the Armagh I office on Wednesday of this week explained that ‘a heap’ of rubbish had been abandoned in the street earlier that morning.
It is believed that approximately 100 bin bags lay sitting in the residential area from around 8.30am until it’s removal by council that evening.
The incident was the latest in a period of frustration for residents in the area, as it was only two weeks ago that the street was evacuated while police investigated a suspected pipe bomb attack on a property.

The resident who spoke with us said he was fed up and dreaded to think what would happen if the waste was not removed, fearing the arrival of vermin and the potential for the rubbish to spread across the area.
A spokesperson for ABC Council said they had received a complaint yesterday regarding the indiscriminate dumping in the area by one of the residents.
The spokesperson continued that the Housing Executive had visited the area and took photographs, before requesting to one of their contractors that the rubbish be removed.
They added: “I have spoken with the complainant and further ongoing investigations will continue jointly by both the NIHE and ourselves.”
A Housing Executive spokesperson said: “After carrying out an inspection we have raised an urgent order to have the site cleared.”
