Help us find Armagh’s 2025 People of the Year!
And, Craigavon teen honoured for outstanding dedication to caring for younger brother
The Armagh I People of the Year Awards are back for a fifth consecutive year — and they’re bigger and brighter than ever!
Thanks to the generosity of Armagh Credit Union - which donated approximately £70,000 to local causes last year - this year’s awards are supported by a sponsor deeply rooted in our community.
This year we have eight distinct categories to nominate across, each recognising different forms of community excellence:
Inspirational Young Person (under 25)
Carer of the Year
Rescue Champion of the Year
Community Impact Award
Inspirational Educator
Overcoming Adversity to Succeed
Champion of the Arts
Special Recognition – Lifetime Achievement
Your nomination helps to ensure those who continue to go above and beyond for their community receive the recognition they so truly deserve. And… you can nominate across all the categories if you wish - for as many people as you feel are deserving.
Nominate your unsung heroes now by clicking here to submit your form.
Craigavon teen honoured for outstanding dedication to caring for younger brother
Just two weeks after Armagh I marked Carer’s Week by highlighting the selfless dedication of five young siblings from Richhill and the eldest of the bunch has now received official recognition of his incredible commitment.
Alex Cooper (17) who helps care for his younger brother Zach has this week received the Young Carer Award at this year’s Spirit of Northern Ireland Awards, in partnership with Ulster Bank.
A massive congratulations to Alex!
And you can help others receive the recognition they truly deserve by nominating your own Carer of the Year for this year’s Armagh I People of the Year Awards here.
