Is a sixth week of strike action on the cards?
Good morning. With Council meetings suspended until after the Queen's funeral on Monday (which is now a bank holiday) – including a specially convened meeting over the strike issue, it looks like there could be a sixth week of disruption on the way. Unions and senior management are due to speak on Thursday, Armagh I understands, but it remains to be seen if the impasse can be broken....something has to give though! Unions are adamant there will be no agreement until everything is agreed, while Council say there isn't the money to offer the pay point increases.
