It's been stormy, but let's now talk weather!
Hi everyone, Rikki here with you again. It seems ages since I was 'talking' to you all. What a week it has been with storms and power cuts. I can't really complain as due to a power cut at home we had to go out for dinner on Wednesday evening. This saw me take up residence in the coffee dock at the Seagoe Hotel in Portadown. Yes - the coffee dock, for dinner! Basically the restaurant was full and they took pity. The food was delicious and the service exceptional - big shout out to Geraldine (once met, never forgotten)
We spend so much time in the advertising and marketing department helping businesses with their promotions that we often forget to 'market' ourselves. So I'm going to do just that right now in a very simple format!
Every month we have an average of 365,000 readers (Google analytics).
We have over 85,000 followers across our social media accounts...and growing..
Our website covers not only the news but sporting success, property, motors and entertainment.
We are fast becoming a main source for local funeral arrangements - in fact our obituaries section generates over 160,000 page views per month.
All of this is on top of our video content, podcasts, newsletter, ArmaghJobs.com .. the list is long.
We are passionate about what we do, and yes, at times we have to deal with the backlash on stories we publish (anything Covid....) but as we keep reminding ourselves, we don't (plan to) make the news, we just report it.

Armagh Jobs
Normally, we don't carry jobs in a Thursday newsletter, but I like to break a rule every now and again, then Micheal put's me back in my box... await the knuckle wrap. In my defence, there's a lot of worthy news. Carter from NI Climbing Frames has been popular so far and McCloskey International are holding an open day - here's the details.

Podcast
The man behind the machine - first you got to hear from him in the newsletter, now you can hear him! Here's Micheal with a podcast with Playr-Fit director Kieran Quinn who, alongside his business partner and friend Steven Burns started the brand having worked together for a number of years prior to the launch. It was a punt; a leap of faith that, despite Covid, has produced some serious results since....

Quiz!
Another fantastic response to our quiz! This week we had three people get full marks. They were Libby Wilson, William Lappin and a lady who did not want to leave her name.
There were quite a number of people who got 9, including Tom Wilson and Keith Cunningham who both got nine on Week 1. The others who got nine were: Jack McFadden; Godfrey Abbott; and Valerie Grant.

To conclude
So, hopefully the weather will pick up and we will all get out over the weekend. Ollie is definitely looking forward to a big walk, and secretly, so am I. I'll equally enjoy a large latte after it though... maybe a big chocolate bun!
Signing out,
Rikki.
