It's time to nominate your heroes for this year's Armagh I People of the Year Awards

It has been a busy but exciting week here at Armagh I as we launched our second annual People of the Year Awards!

Around 35 invited guests, including Lord Mayor Glenn Barr, attended an informal gathering at Armagh Observatory and Planetarium yesterday (Thursday) where details of the awards were revealed.

There are 11 categories in total this year, designed to acknowledge people who have really made a difference to their communities and who are "out of this world".

Check out the story below – with pics and video from the launch. You can get voting straightaway using this handy link here.

Hallowe'en photo comp winner...

LJ called into our office this week – with her mum – to pick up her box of goodies, courtesy of our friends at Sweetez, Armagh. She was delighted, as were we!

Another delighted comp winner...

For those of you who may remember, a while back we gave away a two-night break, with breakfast and dinner included, at the Central Hotel in Donegal. Well, the winner – Ann Ogilby – sent us these photos and had this to say:

"Just a wee email to say thank you so much for the prize of a 2 night stay in Central Hotel Donegal. My son and I went last week and had an absolutely fab time! We are so so grateful and are thinking of booking there again in the future. Again, thank you so much!!"
