Police 'rev up' campaign against Armagh's car cruisers as complaints continue to mount
Plus, New business joins list of questionable engineering firms owned by same Co Armagh director
After what appeared to be a positive improvement in the issue of late night speeding, revving and the use of "loud exhausts" one Armagh resident has complained that the issue persists at an infamous carpark long plagued by bothersome vehicular gatherings.
Armagh I previously reported on the issue of cars speeding, revving and displaying "loud exhausts" along the Cathedral Road and Shambles area of the city after one resident wrote this publication a letter detailing the stress the late night disruptions were causing.
Following publication of that article, the same individual sent another, much more positive letter stating that there had been a welcome improvement as of late.
However, another member of the public entered our office last week to say that the problem is far from resolved...
New business joins list of questionable engineering firms owned by same Co Armagh director
Since Armagh I's report into the alleged misconduct of a Portadown-based engineering firm, more customers and former staff members who claim to have been negatively affected by its director have come forward to speak of their ordeals.
The businesses in question – Tera Group and JC Engineering and Fabrication – were both listed under the sole directorship of Jack Cairns.
However, since publication of this article several individuals joining the growing list of complainants have also called Mr Cairns' newest business - Attached Machinery - into question. Read the full members-only article here.

On Friday May 30, we where invited down to Basil Sheils, Tassagh for an evening which left us grinning from ear to ear. An evening not for the faint hearted, expect a lot of tongue and cheek humour as nothing was off the cards with this talented bunch.
Prohibition Comedy was set up by cousins Niall Devlin and Matt McCullough who work together to bring local and national talent to different venues all over the County!
MC on the night was local magician Caolan McBride who introduced the acts and even showed a trick or two he had up his sleeve (literally). Comedian acts included Black Paddy, Declan McBride, Cathaoir O'Hagan and Benny Martin.
