Potential relocation of Tynan Surgery on the cards...
And a former popular pub site in a nearby village may be one option
Discussions have taken place regarding plans to relocate Tynan Surgery - potentially to a neighbouring village.
The surgery, based on the Dartan Ree road, boasts a central location within Tynan - conveniently situated just a short walk from the pharmacy on Main Street.
A source explained to Armagh I that a relocation of the practice was being considered and speculated that a vacant site in the neighbouring County Armagh village of Killylea could be a possibility for a new build premises.
The site of the now demolished Huntsman Bar on Main Street has been touted as a potential area for development.
Armagh I contacted the Department of Health for clarification.
A spokesperson for the Department said: "There have been initial discussions regarding a potential relocation of Tynan Surgery.
"Proposals are not sufficiently developed at this stage to provide any further information at present."
