Salvaging the good from the bad news..
Sometimes in this business, it’s easy to get downtrodden with all the negative news stories coming out. However, there’s still plenty of positive work taking place all across Co. Armagh.
Yesterday (Monday) was ‘World Kindness Day’ and what better way to mark it than a good news story of a community pulling together to help those in need?
Well that’s exactly what we had as this weekend saw over 100 people pull together to help Portadown-based club Annagh United clean their pitch prior to it’s re-opening.
The club was devastated after the floods a number of weeks ago destroyed their Portakabin and left the pitch waterlogged.
It was agreed that the pitch would re-open this week and so a call was put out for supporters to come to the club’s assistance in getting it ready - and they responded in their droves!

Many people tell us that we’re quick to jump on the bad news and not so much the good… Believe it or not we still hear plenty of heart-warming stories on a day-to-day basis!
We’ve found that when tragedy strikes, the generosity and hospitality of the local community can never be underestimated and that more often than not, people step up with some good, old-fashioned kindness.
