Santa's favourite stop could be closer than you think!

It's Christmas Eve and just yesterday the team at Armagh I received a rather intriguing letter from the press office at... The North Pole!
If you're reading this without your little ones, you might want to gather them round because North Pole HQ have given us a few clues into Old Saint Nick's favourite Christmas Eve stop-off... and it just might be closer than you think!
The 'special delivery' read: "While his sleigh travels the globe delivering joy, magic, and presents, there’s one place that holds an extra warm spot in Santa’s heart.
“We’re not saying exactly where it is, but let’s just say it’s a place that twinkles with charm, has a rich history, and where the people really know how to celebrate Christmas,” teased Jingle Jiggins, Chief Elf.
They provided a few hints for all you festive detectives:
This city shines brightly under the night sky and is connected to a world-famous observatory. Santa loves looking up at the stars as he zooms by on his sleigh!
This place is famous for producing the juiciest, tastiest Bramley apples, perfect for making Christmas desserts. Santa might even take a few pies back to the North Pole!
Known for its history and heritage, it’s a place that has captured Santa’s imagination for centuries. He always lingers just a little longer here to soak in the magic.
Word on the snowy streets is that the city was given its name after a certain red-headed, mythological goddess. After all, red is Santa's favourite colour.
“I’m sworn to secrecy,” said Jingle, “but let’s just say that if you’re in this lucky city, you might want to make sure your stockings are hung and that your chimney is squeaky clean!”
Wherever Santa’s favourite stop may be, he and his elves have warned us to keep an eye out for his sleigh tonight. If you're lucky you might even hear the sound of hooves on the rooftop!
It is important though to stay tucked up in bed - no matter what you hear! The North Pole have advised all good children to be asleep for 8.30pm.
