The human side to cost of living crisis..
Good morning folks. I don't mean to dampen the mood further as we see the hot weather dissipate – probably for the year – but we are looking to delve a little deeper into the cost of living crisis. The very term alone doesn't quite pack the punch it maybe did a few months ago – a bit like your body getting used to a painkiller, you're numb to the very term; but it's still a crisis and it's only going to get worse.
We are reaching out to you – our readers – to speak to us candidly on what is a very sensitive subject. Everyone will be feeling the pinch – to some it might feel like a punch; it will affect so many people in so many different ways but we would love the opportunity to really delve into the crisis locally.
Would you be interested in chatting to us about what the rising costs mean for you? The Cost of Living Crisis moniker is one thing, but we are keen to tell the human story behind it too. Reach out to us by replying to this email or the usual social media routes. We really do appreciate your time. Thank you.
And speaking of cost of living...more than 1,000 ABC Council workers are currently striking in order to receive a pay rise. Yesterday was the first day of a four-week strike..
