20 new jobs in pipeline with plans to re-open 'derelict' Lurgan shopping centre
For those of a certain vintage, Castle Lane in Lurgan will bring back a wealth of memories. At the corner, there was Scruples, and as you progressed further down you had the indoor – and outdoor – markets. As the years went by a lot changed, however, 2024 could bring about a very welcome addition to the Lane with plans to re-open the derelict shopping centre which has sadly fallen into a state of disrepair. Almost 20 years without a tenant but that looks likely to change..
While the proposed new tenant remains under wraps for now, a few big name brands have been mentioned in the planning documents. Which of these would you like to see move onto Castle Lane? Check out the full story here.
