Big lift for tiny village; mum on premature birth; arson accused set for crown court
Good morning. It’s going to be a chilly one today – and some of you may experience some snow, if you haven’t already.
So this week, Scott took himself off to Banbridge to see what all the fuss was about regarding the new road layout at The Cut (Downshire Bridge). Admittedly, we were there after the school rush so our qualitative may not have been as accurate as we would have liked. While some said it was a case of “wait and see”, there were others much more scathing. Read more on that here.
And keeping with the traffic-related theme, the dynamic duo of Kellie and Caoilinn headed for Lurgan to check out the impact the new hourly Enterprise service is having in the town – notably, William Street.
Queues and congestion aside, traders weren’t all doom and gloom on the new service, although it would be nice, they say, if the train stopped a little more often, rather than by-passing the town. More on that here.
And wondering where I went this week? This little piggy stayed at home.
There was plenty of chatter about the (eventual) removal of parking charges at Craigavon and Daisy Hill Hospitals. Opinions are split on that one. What are your thoughts?

Personalise your gifts with Krafty Keepsakes in Armagh this Christmas
What started off as a hobby after leaving school, turned into a business opportunity for Krafty Keepsakes owner, Latisha Bayrajee.
Originally designing personalised products for friends and family, the 27-year-old quickly realised her creative passion could be something she could make a living from.
The opening of Latisha's first shop on October 19, located in Scotch Street's Arcade, was a significant milestone for the Armagh woman who previously operated from home.
