In response to cash is king, I say time for revolution.
Yes some luddites may see the retention of cash as important, but the reality is a cashless society is one of fewer frauds, muggings and theft in general as every transaction is traceable, hard to do a drug deal if all payments can be tracked, so safer streets.
The objection in regard to costs is one dealt with by realigning the banks, they are the beneficiaries of any charges, so simpler to minimize or eliminate the charges altogether.
Banks have hardly been a friend to people, with fees charges and bailouts for their mistakes, coupled to layoffs and closures.
So a few minor tweaks by them to make the system more acceptable.
So wake up people a cashless world is just around the corner.

Most definitely food for thought and in my opinion perhaps we'd send less carelessly if we saw the money come out of our purse
