Hi Everyone, Rikki here with you here this morning. Thought I better show my face (so to speak). Last weekend I took some very much needed time off and headed off to Newcastle for a few days with friends. It was a weekend spent reflecting, planning and above all relaxing. I walked mountains and beaches from dusk to dawn. When there, I remembered what Newcastle was like as a child and the family times we spent there - needless to say a trip to the beautiful seaside town was somewhat different as an adult - in so many ways. I think we all need that time-out to reflect on what's important and I've came back rejuvenated and ready to get stuck back in.Working in a fast-paced newsroom - even if "you only do the advertising" can take it's toll - we report on harrowing stories at times and come face to face with peoples real life problems - often we hear them first! I suppose the point I'm trying to make is these are the things you don't see happening behind the scenes and we too are human. Again, we all need time to restock and as a male sometimes it's hard to admit, (maybe it's the macho pride think) but I'm proud to say, I knew I needed it and I wasn't afraid to say it.Anyway as Micheal would say, on to some news ...
