Good morning, Conor here again....I am sure you will all be glad to know that I have now made the move, albeit still living out of boxes, and having a fight with black bin bags to find a single item of clothing.Between all that, we have been working away and preparing for the People of the Year Awards, which are fast approaching (March 10). This past week I have been videoing those who have been shortlisted for each of the categories. With 22 nominees in all, this is due to be a busy few weeks of shooting and editing ahead of the big evening under the stars at the Planetarium.That aside, last week I had the opportunity to speak with Middletown mum Sandy Woods about the moment she was told her son Charlie (3) would go blind after being diagnosed with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, a rare genetic condition. She told me how she had to fight to get this diagnosis, as the condition normally goes undetected or is often misdiagnosed.
