Housing Executive officials have given a commitment to improve maintenance of properties after ongoing complaints by residents at Culdee in Armagh.
A delegation visited the area recently to see for themselves what needs to be done.
And Sinn Féin councillor John Óg O’Kane (pictured) was on hand to explain exactly that.
He said residents of Culdee Crescent deserve "proper maintenance around their homes".
“Families living in Culdee Crescent have had to put up with long term issues around flooding, litter, poor lighting and maintenance," he explained. "They deserve better than this.
“I invited senior Housing Executive staff to meet with local residents and myself to see these issues first hand and to discuss a plan of action to improve the area for local families.
“The Housing Executive have committed to following up on a number of these issues, and I will be making contact with both the council and DFI to try and resolve the issues that they have responsibility for.
“The families living in Culdee Crescent deserve safe, well maintained homes to live in and I am determined to keep working for them to deliver this.”
