What are you getting less of these days but paying more for?

armaghi.substack.com

It’s safe to say we are living in a new economic climate. Rikki here with you this morning. Whether you’re reading this in bed, over your cornflakes or sitting at your desk in work (or at home if remote working is your thing), I thought this morning I’d ask for your input. It became very apparent to me that the rising costs of living were really being felt when I heard a lady in a shop tell a shop keeper that exactly the same shop last month cost her… wait for it £9.30 LESS. The lady commented that she deliberately did the exact same shop to compare.

Electric, gas, oil, petrol and food everything is going up in price but we are getting less bang for our buck. Let me give you an example, my latest gas bill informed me that I am using 30% less gas this year than last - much to my excitement! That was until I got to the bottom of the bill where it told me in monetary value I had spent more. So less units, but cost me more! Needless to say, the skip fairly left me and I was feeling slightly deflated!

Where are you feeling the pinch the most? Take our poll below
