Cyclist on pavements is a real problem the proposed sinage is very welcome. As someone whi frequently walks the lakes its very difficult to ensure waljers/cyclists use correct paths. However if cyclist would please warn walkers by ringing their bell it would be a help especially fir older walkers. Also there should be a speed limit for cyclist some think they are in the Tour De France

Pavements have become an unsafe place for pedestrians with cyclists thinking they have 'right of way' and not wearing cycling helmets. I have also noticed in Portadown cyclists dangerously cycling on the street against the traffic. Action needs to be taken immediately before someone is badly injured.

When I step out if my house I step onto the pavement in Lurgan Every time I've to check what's coming up the footpath It could be a bike and these days young boys coming with no hands on handlebars They have even grabbed the wire from my sky dish and pulled it completely of the wall And yes it was a cyclist who one day held on to it to long and ended up falling of the bike also dog walkers with these long leads In one iccasion I was coming out through the front for the dog was at one side of the house while the owner was at the other and zi tripoed over the lead and almost fell The owner was quite rude to me and certainly there was no apology Walk your dog but be aware if what goes on around you

As a cyclist I use the road as a pedestrian the path, ner the twain to meet. From childhood I followed the highway code

Yet none of these pavement peddling menaces give a care, in ogle street in Armagh I have met on numerous occasions oil and cyclists riding on pavement against the flow of the one way system. Add to this the ebikes and escooters being used in the city streets then indeed it is a menace, all of this unlawful behaviour needs to stop, before some pedestrian gets injured, likely as much to be some pram pushing individual with children onboard, in which case we all know who is likely to be the most hurt.

I say action now from the community, and local authorities, to keep all citizens safe.

It's an issue anywhere in the Western World where nations commit suicide commiting funds they don't have to the care and feeding of Military Aged Invaders.

Speaking of which, has anyone discovered a clue as to where in Armagh City 20 Bulgarian Youths disappeared to?

It's ok putting these signs up in the various town centres, but who is going to enforce these orders?

Are police officers going to deployed on every street in the ABC Council area, is there going to be fines handed out.

The cyclists are a law unto themselves, they will ignore these signs and the poor pedestrians who will have the nerve to challenge will probably be verbally or even physically abused.

Some of these so-called 'cyclists' don't even proper lighting on their bicycles, some have earphones on when they cycle and some even use a mobile phone!

The situation will get worse in the winter when the dark nights are longer and when there is less daylight.

PSNI and other authorities must act now to get these menaces off our streets and even our footpaths. There are decent cyclists out there who do adhere to the rules of the road, but there are obviously ones who don't.

Just remember the word Footpath - easy meaning, a path to put your foot on, it's not a cycle path.
